Description
It was discover by William Grant in 1892 and launched in 1973 which is 12 years old single malt which gains its distinctive character from being matured in two types of wood. It is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask over the period of maturation.
Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt, the traditional casks soften and add character and the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavor. Sweeter fruit and oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla. Smooth and mellow worth beautifully combined flavor of nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layers of sherry with long and warming finish.
