Description

K5 Himalayan whiskey is one of the finest and first whisky blended in the country. It is named “K5” in honor of the 5th king of Bhutan, HM Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk, who came to power in 2008. This whiskey is particularly made from Bhutanese recipe created by the distillers at the Gelephu , under the Army Welfare Project.

Sixty-Five percent of its blend of 8 to 12 year old malt whiskies are distilled in Scotland and aged in Bourbon and sherry casks. The remaining Thirty- Five percent is Bhutanese organic grain spirit made from Bhutanese rice which was triple distilled with Himalayan mountain spring water.
